Dead time is a collaboration between OBRA and Scottish poet, Lucy Burnett. The company invited Lucy to exchange practice and techniques in the form of an OBRA Open Session after reading her poetry cycle Urban Monotone, published in her 2013 collection, Leaf Graffiti.

The exchange of ideas and principles during the research session generated the project Dead Time, an exploration of moments of limbo, the temporal space when one is in-between or suspended.

​

The collaboration explored how to generate language from movement and movement as a direct response to a written form. The research was shared in Sheffield, UK, in 2017 and at the Au Brana centre.
