ABCD RESIDENCY - CALL OUT

As part of a commitment to the support of new work and emerging practice, Au Brana offers an annual residence for two companies in its studio spaces with dormitory accommodation provided, for ten days. Applications are welcome from any individual, company, collective or group of artists (maximum 5 people) from any performance discipline with a focus on collaboration and new research.

This can take the form of:

• Practical research of a new training or performance approach

• An exchange of practice between different groups or individuals

• Cross-disciplinary encounters or hybrid artistic approaches

• A first meeting between collaborators

Please note that rehearsals or reworking of an existing performance will not be considered nor can you use this residency for financial gain (eg a public paid workshop). Please be aware that it is not possible to rig aerial equipment in the studios.

Au Brana is a residential centre for artistic practices in rural South Western France, dedicated to the support of independent and emerging artists, new and original research and pluridisciplinary performance.

A 10 day residential period is available for two groups of maximum five people between the 17th August - 6th September 2026. Applicants are required to complete an application form and provide any additional documentation to support their application.
