In 2017 OBRA was commissioned to create artistic responses to two different sites in the once highly industrial French town of Mazamet; the now former bank of France and the sole remaining leather tanning factory, Alran. OBRA collaborated with Matt Smith of VIDEOfeet to create an installation including films and projections in the empty vaults of the bank, and created a film to be projected in the tannery.

The projects were part of the Tourism Imaginaire festival, and as the public were invited into the different sites over multiple weekends in the summer, OBRA’s film in the tannery allowed the public to experience the life of this family business.
